We’ll See It Through song
We’ll See It Through
The CEOs of banks bailed out with taxpayers’ bills
bring home fat bonuses, salaries and frills,
while hardworking people have their paychecks robbed
by politicians serving their corporate gods.
Oh no. Oh no. This isn’t what the people want, oh no, no, no.
They say our unions have to go.
The ultra rich avoid taxes by saving for healthcare needs.
But poor families have to sacrifice to fund the budget for their greed.
No doctors for a poor child’s cough; no eldercare when love’s not enough;
No aid for farmers when the going’s rough; no food, no shelter, none of that stuff!
Oh no, oh no. This isn’t what the people want, oh no, no, no.
But common good has got to go!
When they refuse to hear the voices right outside their chamber doors,
When they refuse to see the people standing firm on marble floors,
When bad news falls like hail, we can still prevail.
We’ll see it through. We’ll see it through.
You look to me, and I’ll look to you,
And together, we’ll see it through.
They say big business needs a break so we can have jobs.
And teachers and other public workers are overpaid slobs.
If schools can’t afford to get by with much, much less,
Now they can fire some teachers and cram in more desks.
Oh no, oh no. That isn’t what the people want, oh no, no, no.
But school funding has got to go!
So we’ve listened to you puppets who were bought and paid.
We’ve seen through the terrible plans you’ve made.
Now you seek to divide and destroy our hope.
You think we’ll crawl off to our individual holes and mope.
Oh no, oh no. That isn’t what the people want, oh no, no, no.
Scott Walker’s got to go!
This bill's got to go!
Corrupt politicians got to go!
The Koch brothers got to go!
Yes, when bad news falls like hail, we can still prevail
We’ll see it through. We’ll see it through.
You look to me, and I’ll look to you,
And together. . . .
We’ll see it through. We’ll see it through.
You look to me, and I’ll look to you,
And together, together we’ll see it through!
