Kaia Fowler Arts & Wellbeing™
Transformational Healing & Lifelong Flourishing
Together, we will co-create experiences of comfort, courage, and connection for healing & flourishing! Music. Reiki. More. . .
“From the moment I met Kaia, I felt comfortable and safe in her company. Her compassion was obvious from beginning to end. Her listening skills and guiding questions helped me find deeper meaning after my sister's death. It's not often you find someone who is willing to hold space with grief, without trying to ‘fix it.’ I was able to break through a ‘stuck’ place to a more hopeful, positive energy.”
— Former grief services participant
Music for Healing & Inspiration
Kaia Fowler began to write poems and songs as a child. Her writing healed her. Still, it took decades for her to understand her calling to support others’ healing through therapeutic attunement and sharing music, Reiki, and other healing arts with the world.
As part of her healing arts work, Kaia practices Brainspotting!
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting therapy brings transformative results for people healing from PTSD, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self-worth and other problems. Developed by Dr. David Grand out of his experience providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Brainspotting empowers the reprocessing and releasing of painful experiences. It is based on research into the visual connection with the mid-brain and the discovery that ‘where you look affects how you feel’.
In a Brainspotting session, the therapist works with you to identify an issue, focus your awareness on it, and find a relevant eye position (Brainspot). Then, through mindful attunement, the therapist supports you in processing that issue. This process enables your brain to process and release stressful, traumatic, and stuck experiences to move forward with new understanding. Often the result feels like setting down a burden you have carried for too long.
Kaia has been trained in Phase 1 and Phase 2 Brainspotting and is in training with a consultant to become a certified Brainstpotting therapist.
