New Song Recorded

I just captured a great performance of one of my newer songs - "Feel So Much."

Soon you'll have a chance to hear it. It's not a studio recording, just a home one, but it will be a good sneak preview the studio EP release planned for fall.

Yesterday and today as I rehearse for upcoming shows - Cafe' Carpe July 26 and Water House Foods Aug. 4 - I have been using my Tascam home recorder to capture some songs. I plan to enter the Great River Folk Festival songwriting contest. I need to submit two songs recorded just as I would play them on stage. They have to be under five minutes (a challenge for me!) and, of course, I want them to showcase my songwriting and performance ability.

For the songwriting contest, twelve finalists will be chosen from those who submit songs. Those twelve will perform at the festival. I want that opportunity! It would be great to be the winner, but even getting to the final twelve would please me.

I am going to ask for your help selecting the best two songs to send in. Stay tuned! Within the next day or so I will post three or four songs, and you can vote for your favorite two for submission. Until then, back to rehearsing and recording.
